Xaghra live drive-thru Christmas Crib - Ghal Ghonq it-TriqToday was the opening for Ghal Ghonq it-Triq – a live and interactive nativity scene with a drive-thru experience in Xaghra.

It gives visitors the opportunity to enjoy the story of Christmas in the comfort and safety of their own car.

This animated Christmas Crib is presented by the Guiding Light with the collaboration of the Ministry for Gozo and will be open ever day until the 29th of December from 5pm to 9pm.

The organisers have advised that the following regulations must be followed:

Vehicles must be filled to the maximum permitted by law; Vehicles with less than 3 passengers will not be allowed to enter; Entrance is prohibited to recreational vehicles, over sized vehicles and large multipurpose vehicles; Wait in line after the last car; No one can get out of the car during the event; Wearing a mask is mandatory; Please keep quiet in the car to make for a better experience; and Drive by at 5 kilometres per hour.

The organisers pointed out that they “have the right to refuse you entry in the enclosure if you or someone in your group is visibly unwell or have respiratory problems.”

Temperature checks will be taken at the entrance and if a person is found with a temperature of 37.2oC or higher, s/he will be denied entrance.

At the entrance, records of the contact information of persons attending the event will be taken and kept for 28 days after the event to enable contact tracing.

The organisers stressed that they are abiding by the Health Authorities Directives and taking all the necessary health and safety precautions for both the attendees and the production team.

Entrance for the event will be from Triq Ghajn Qasab, in-Nadur and 120 cars will be allowed to enter each night.
