Two more people die with Covid-19, 232 lives now lost to the virus

The Health Ministry has advised that two more patients have died while being positive with Covid-19. This makes the number of lives lost to the virus now at 232.
An 85-year old man who tested positive for the virus on the 7th of January, passed away yesterday at Mater Dei Hospital.
The second is 77-year old woman who tested positive for the virus on the 3rd of January, and also passed away yesterday at Mater Dei Hospital.
The Ministry of Health, while offering its condolences to the relatives of the deceased, called on the public to continue to follow the preventive measures “so that we can protect the most vulnerable in our society” – This includes wearing of masks, social distancing and hand hygiene.
