Gharb Local Council has in recent weeks distributed more than 6500 masks KN95 free of charge to registered residents in the locality.
The Council said that the reason behind this initiative is because it “firmly believes that the health of the residents must be given the utmost priority.”
The distribution of masks was made between September and the 15th of January, however the Council said that is has now been extended until the end of March, with the possibility of further extensions as deemed necessary.
The Gharb Local Council said that it continues to “encourage residents and the general public to continue to follow the decisions and directives issued by the Superintendent of Health and the authorities, as well as to take care of each other and themselves and be in the majority group that cares about common health.”
