One positive case at MaltaPost Gozo Postal Hub, no others in quarantine

MaltaPost has advised that one of their employees working at the Gozo Postal Hub in Xewkija was found to be positive for Covid-19 last Saturday, the 27th of February. “The colleagues of this employee were instructed not to report for work on Monday, the 1st of March and were instead sent by the Company to take a swab test,” it said.
MaltaPost in a statement explained that “these employees were instructed not to report to work until they have a negative test result of Covid-19. The building was sanitised. Up till now there are no employees in quarantine.”
It also said that “there have recently been no cases of employees testing positive for the Covid-19 virus at our MaltaPost back office in Xewkija.”
MaltaPost said that it “follows all directives, instructions and guidelines issued by the Public Health Authorities. On this basis, all postal operators have been recently given the opportunity to take the first dose of the Covid-19 Vaccine.”
