Entities responsible for enforcement on Covid-19 rules, last week issued 1,545 fines to people caught breaching the regulations.

There were 1,289 people who were caught not wearing a mask and 148 people were fined after being found in groups of more than four.

A further 108 contraventions were issued in connection with a breach of other rules, including several in violation of gatherings in homes.

Thousands of inspections were also carried out across Malta and Gozo on those who were supposed to be in quarantine, of whom 6 people were found not complying with these rules.
