Air Malta have announced that they will be making travel arrangements for eligible Maltese voters currently abroad to travel on its services to enable them to vote in the forthcoming MEP election of the 6th of June 2009. The airline will be issuing return flights on board its services at a charge of Euro 35 (or equivalent).

Those persons exercising their right to vote during the 30th of May election can also benefit from this arrangement.

The scheme applies to eligible voters whose names appear on the last Electoral Register, including those married to foreigners, studying, working or undergoing medical treatment abroad and also to their dependents (under 18 years of age).

This offer is available for the period starting from the 18th of May to Sunday, the 14th of June 2009, both dates inclusive. Eligible voters should travel to Malta between the 18th of May till the 6th of June 2009 and travel back between the 30th of May and the 14th of June 2009.

Reservations may not be changed and tickets are non-refundable. All relevant details that include names and surnames, addresses in Malta, ID card numbers, email addresses, credit cards details and contact phone numbers (including mobile number) will be required at the booking stage prior authorisation of any ticket issuance. Details for dependents should include age, followed by date of birth.

Air Malta will also be operating extra flights on Luxemburg on Thursday, the 4th of June and Sunday, the 7th of June 2009.

Flight reservations are only to be made through Air Malta’s Call Centre on numbers (00356) 23645320 from 0800-2100hrs Monday to Saturday and from 0800-1700hrs on Sundays.
