€45 million in government issued vouchers are to be distributed to families over the coming days. Prime Minister Robert Abela made the announcement on Sunday morning during a virtual interview.

Dr Abela said that the aim of that this second round of vouchers is to assist the Gozitan and Maltese businesses affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Anyone over the age of 16 will have received €100 in vouchers to be used in shops and restaurants as from the 7th of June.

Over the coming days details will be provided as to how these vouchers will be distributed, however it is expected that they should be received in households by the end of this month, the Prime Minister said.
