The Government has said that it is continuing to fight Covid-19 by vaccinations and responding to the restrictive measures that are still in place.

According to these figures, 1078 fines were issued over the last week to people in Gozo and Malta by the relevant authorities regarding the enforcement of Covid-19 regulations

809 fines were related to not wearing a mask. 160 people were fined for being in groups of more than four in public places. 76 people were fined for violating the regulations relating to private gatherings in residences.

7 fines were imposed in connection with breaches of rules for catering establishments, 10 people were fined for not complying with the quarantine obligation. 13 fines were issued in cases of rules violated by services deemed non-essential and there were 3 summonses for breach of mass activities.
