557 fines issued over past week for breach of Covid-19 regulationsThe various enforcement entities have carried out around 5,000 inspections in establishments across the Maltese Islands over the last seven days and 14 were fined in connection with breaches of rules for these establishments.

According to the latest government figures released on Monday, 538 fines were issued to people in Gozo and Malta by the relevant authorities regarding the enforcement of Covid-19 regulations.

The majority of the fines – 538 – were related to not wearing a mask, or for being in larger groups than allowed by law.

2 fines were issued relating to violations of mass activity regulations, while 3 people were fined for not complying with the quarantine obligation.

      I go for a early morning walk every day and the number people I see not wearing masking there holding them either in there hand or looped thro there arm I ask one chap where his Mask the answer he gave me was IN HIS POCKET there should be Police out in the early hours 5am to fine these irresponsible people
