VisitGozo ads campaign in Europe promoting Gozo on the tourism mapA VisitGozo promotional campaign featuring ads both digital and traditional, has been launched, which will include ads on trams in Berlin and Frankfurt, a campaign on social media and television, as well as other places which are frequented by thousands of people.

The campaign was launched by Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri, and is aimed at promoting Gozo on the tourism map for the coming months.

He said that the campaign being implemented focuses inter alia on tourists from European countries, such as Germany, the Scandinavian market and other countries in central and western Europe.

The Minister for Gozo said that, “all this is being done against the background of extensive work on the official VisitGozo website, with a modern look and offering more information on various tourist niches in Gozo.”

He explained that Gozo has also attracted the attention of many other sites after being given a high ranking in the Quality Coast Awards, achieving maximum points in the Gold Destinations category.

He added that the tourism sector is one of the most important pillars in the Gozitan economy and to strengthen it, many infrastructural works have been carried out on this island together with investments and projects including the Fast Ferry.

Ronald Sultana, Director of Tourism and Economic Development at the Ministry for Gozo, said, “we have worked hard to design a promotional campaign on various digital and traditional platforms to raise awareness of Gozo.”

He added that, “we continue to offer schemes to Gozitan operators including those on marketing, while we have revamped the visitgozo.com website which is also crucial as a first impressions especially during digital promotional campaigns.”

Also present at the press conference were Permanent Secretary John Borg, Gozo Tourism Authority Chief Executive Joe Muscat and Chairman Paul Scicluna, and Gozo Business Chamber Chief Executive Daniel Borg.

Dear Mr Treptow, One mustn’t lose hope. I have personally been fighting an uphill battle all my life. I had success in some and a lot more left in the wilderness.

Still, as long as I have breath left in me, I will keep on promoting a “Fair Deal/s for Gozo & its Inhabitants”.

Maybe in some I will succeed whilst in others I will be sidelined.
