The Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, has presented certificates to students who attended courses at the Institute for Tourism Studies in Qala, Gozo.

The presentation ceremony concluded activities organised for an open day held at the centre on Thursday, the 28th of May 2009, following its official opening by the Prime Minister on Wednesday.

Students attending secondary and primary schools in Gozo together with some of their parents and teachers, visited the Hotel School where they were shown around and given detailed information on the new facilities and the courses that will be offered.

The Hotel School, that necessitated an investment of €1.8m, has already hosted students in a number of courses over the past year. It is now envisaged that more courses and training facilities will be provided, thus contributing towards an increase of students.
