A 50-year-old man has been seriously injured after falling down a shaft on a construction site in Fisher Street, Mgarr, Malta, today.
Police said that the man, who is from Sannat, Gozo, fell a height of around one and a half storeys.
He was given first aid at the scene by civil protection workers and a medical team, and taken to Mater Dei Hospital Hospital for treatment.
Police investigations are ongoing.
