A Walk-in Centres to receive the Covid-19 vaccine without the need for an appointment, will be open in Gozo from Monday, this is at the Gozo Conference & Expo Centre, Monday to Friday, between 8:30am and 3.00pm.

In Malta it is at: Gateway Hall, University of Malta, Monday to Saturday, between 8:30am and 3.00pm.

The Health Ministry said that children under the age of 16 who are to be vaccinated without an appointment, must present an identification document and must be accompanied by a parent who can consent to the vaccination.

Anyone wishing to be vaccinated is required to present an identity card. The Ministry said that in the absence of this document, one can show another identification document together with proof that they are a resident of Malta.

Examples of evidence that may be presented include an electricity and water bill, a lease contract for a property in Malta, or an employment contract in Malta.

A mobile unit will also be launched on Monday, calling around Malta stopping in various localities according to a schedule that will be published in the coming days, with the aim of increasing the administration of the vaccine for adults.
