Gozo SPCA in Victoria is still completely full for kittens and until some are rehomed they are unable take in any more even in an emergency.

If you are considering a kitten as a new furry addition to your family – then don’t shop for one, please adopt – the Centre has many that urgently need loving homes, adorable, playful and all different colours.

The Centre also has a mummy cat looking for a home, she has spent the last weeks taking wonderful, loving care of her kittens and now they have been weaned it’s her turn to have a forever home of her own, she is only young and has lots of love to give.On a lighter note, but a very worthwhile one – Gozo SPCA fundraising has said that so far, one single haircut, which was carried out on Saturday evening, has raised the fantastic amount of €3000 for the Centre.

But of course this was no ordinary single haircut, the “client” was Gozo SPCA’s very own Mark Thorogood, who is known and recognised all over Gozo for his long hair. However, that is no more, after a “new look” Mark emerged from under his hair.

Mark had agreed to the fundraising initiative as a way of helping raise much needed funds for the Centre following a quiet 18 months because of the pandemic restrictions for events etc.

Gozo SPCA thanked everyone who turned up in Nadur to watch, all those who donated, and of course “Gary for his hairdressing skills.”

To arrange to visit the Centre to see the kittens and cat, please email on info@spca-gozo.org or phone mornings on 21553769.
