A call for proposals has been issued for the design and artwork which is to be installed on the walls along Triq id-Donaturi tad-Demm in Gozo, with the aim of further increasing public art on the island.

Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri launched the call, with the intention, he said, of selecting a work of art on a theme that promotes blood donation, which can be commissioned to be done on a large scale.

The Ministry for Gozo is inviting interested artists to make proposals for design and artwork to be permanently placed on the walls of Triq id-Donaturi tad-Demm in Victoria, Gozo.

The Minister explained that this is being done, “so that while the main entrance to the only hospital in Gozo continues to be beautified, through this art a message will be conveyed of motivation and thanks to those who donate blood.”

All participants are asked to submit drawings of the artwork together with a proposal explaining the idea and the material that is best thought to be used to make it. The artwork must be completed and affixed by the end of May 2022.
