With a newly built facility dedicated to BMX and MTB, (mountain bikes) the two-wheel scene in Ghajnsielem, Gozo has been steadily growing over the past year.

Rust, (Riders United standing together) the entity set up to nurture this community, said that it has been organising BMX lessons and activities throughout the year to help all those interested in improving their skills on a bike.

The summer BMX lessons at the pump track have just come to an end, making way for a short break until the new season kicks off again in October.Ghajnsielem's pump track for BMX and MTB riders proves very popularRust said that it was fun and smiles throughout the summer for the riders and families, who all enjoyed the action both on and off the pump track.

They explained that the track was specially designed and built in such a way as to allow riders to navigate over the ramps and turns, generating momentum by up and down body movements over the ramps without needing to pedal.

Though technical, Rust said that riding these facilities allows the riders to develop bike control skills that will prove extremely useful as they progress on their bike.

Rust said that they would like to thank the Ghajnsielem Local Council and Mayor Kevin Cauchi for their constant support of this initiative, as well as the families and riders for their support.Ghajnsielem's pump track for BMX and MTB riders proves very popular“We look forward to the start of the new season in October sharing more tricks, tips, and activities.”
