A 64-year old motorcyclist from Gharb was grievously injured after he was involved in an accident with another vehicle in Victoria, Gozo.

Police said that the crash happened at around 8.30am in in Manwel Dimech Street, and involved a Honda motorbike being ridden by the 64-year old and a Maruti Gypsy driven by a 37-year-old man from Xaghra

The motorcyclist was assisted on site by a medical team before being taken to the Gozo General Hospital where he was later certified to be suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
