The National Blood Transfusion Service thanks the 16 people who called to donate blood on Tuesday in Gozo, giving their support to the sick and injured people in the hospitals of Gozo and Malta.

The Service is once again inviting healthy people in Gozo to please donate blood on Sunday, the 12th of September.

There will be a session from 8am to 1pm (last registrations until 1pm) at the Centre in Xewkija. If Sunday is not possible, then there will be another opportunity to donate on Tuesday, the 21st of September – Public Holiday – from 8am to 1pm (last registration until 1pm).

The centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.

The Service reminds everyone that it is very important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand. Also, please encourage others to donate if possible.
