The National Blood Transfusion Service would like to thank the 16 people who called to donate blood last Sunday in Gozo.
The Service noted that the number of blood donors was much lower compared to previous Sundays, and that the donors were all male.
They are appealing for everyone to make “a little more effort than usual” and please call in to donate blood at the next session, which is on Tuesday, the 21st of September, a Public Holiday, from 8am to 1pm (last registrations until 1pm) at the Centre in Xewkija.
If Tuesday is not possible, then there will be another opportunity to donate on Sunday, the 26th of September – from 8am to 1pm (last registration until 1pm).
The centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
The Service reminds everyone that it is very important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand. Also, please encourage others to donate if possible.
