8 new Covid-19 cases and 45 recoveries recorded, 11 are in hospital, with 2 in ITU8 new Covid-19 cases have been found overnight with 45 recoveries. Authorities said that 11 Covid positive patients are currently being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, down from 13 yesterday, 2 of whom are in the ITU, down from 3 yesterday.

There have been 457 deaths since the start of the pandemic. The number of active cases in Malta and Gozo is now at 333.

The number of vaccines administered is 820,435 up until yesterday, of which 9,544 are booster doses, the authorities said.

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control has advised that it will be reporting figures on a weekly basis – every Thursday. As of the 23rd of September, it shows the number of cases recorded for Malta is at 36,994 and the number of deaths showing is 455. The 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 is at 93.67.

The ECDC said that the above data are collected between Monday and Wednesday for the proceeding week.

      Today, after the President of the USA had received his Covid 19 booster on Monday 27th September, I like many other Gozitans received my Covid 19 Booster in Kercem, are we not blessed to live in Malta and Gozo.
