A 35-year old woman has passed away while Covid-19 positive, authorities said on Saturday, no other details were provided. There were 24 new Covid-19 cases found overnight with 21 recoveries.

6 Covid positive patients are currently being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, up from 5 yesterday, there are no patients in ITU.

There have been 459 deaths since the start of the pandemic. The number of active cases in Malta and Gozo is now at 313.

The number of vaccines administered is 826,504 up until yesterday, of which 13,720 are booster doses, the authorities said.

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control has advised that it will be reporting figures on a weekly basis – every Thursday. As of the 30th of September, it shows the number of cases recorded for Malta is at 37,103 and the number of deaths showing is 457. The 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 is at 60.25.

The ECDC said that the above data are collected between Monday and Wednesday for the proceeding week.
