Covid-19 cases have risen sharply today, with 63 new cases found overnight, and 25 recoveries. The authorities said the number of Covid patients currently being treated at Mater Dei Hospital is 16, including 3 in ITU.

There have been 462 deaths since the start of the pandemic. The number of active cases in Malta and Gozo is now 473.

Health Authorities said that the number of vaccines administered up until yesterday is 898,248 of which 67,364 are booster doses.
