Victoria residents elect PN newcomer as mayor

On the first count PN newcomer Samuel Azzopardi has been elected mayor with 634 votes, beating the former PN mayor Robert Tabone by just 10 votes. Mr Tabone was elected as a councillor with 624 votes.
The counting is still continuing, votes for the Labour Party candidates at this time are Michael Portelli 523, Joseph Debrincat 515, Michael Buttigieg 446 and Keith Vella Muskat 292.
Update 2: Marcell Tabone of the PN Party has been elected on the fifth count with 428 votes.
On the seventh count, Michael Portelli has been elected with 523 votes, Joseph Debrincat with 515 votes and Michael Buttigiegwith 446 votes, all are in the PL Party.
On the eighth count Joseph Schembri of the PN Party was elected with 402 votes.


























Dr Azzopardi is no newcomer to the Local council. he already served.
