PL said to have gained 54% of the vote and PN around 43%

The Labour Party Deputy Leader, Toni Abela, has announced that the Labour Party have obtained 54% of all the votes cast in the 23 localities that held local council elections. He added that the PN party had won approximately 43% of the votes.
The Deputy Leader went on to say that the results meant that there was no change from the last elections held three years previously for the same areas. He added that these results also reflected the European election results in last weeks EP election.
Dr Abela also expressed his satisfaction at the gains achieved by the Labour Party in Gozo.
