The course Art and Faith: The Way of Beauty – is being offered by the Pastoral Formation Institute (PFI) as from February 2022.

This course aims to help students appreciate, evaluate and go into detail about different works of art. The PFI explained that ”above all, the course guides students to look at an art piece through the artist’s lens, to better understand how to see God’s beauty in it.”

This course is intended for young people and adults who are interested in art as a means of reflecting, praying and starting a dialogue with others on the beauty and the message of various works of art.

During the second semester of the academic year, the Pastoral Formation Institute will be offering several other formation courses. These are: ‘The Human Experience of God in Prayer,’ ‘Developing Environmental Responsibility,’ ‘Family Ministry,’ and ‘Pastoral Care/Chaplaincy in Schools.’

During this academic year, PFI said that it is also offering a number of short courses, including ‘Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults,’ which is intended for all those who have contact with children or other vulnerable people and their data.

The PFI is offering an online introductory course for extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion or for those who want to better understand the value of the Eucharist.

The Pastoral Formation Institute was established in 2007 with the aim of offering formation to Christians who wish to discover more on their faith according to the needs of society.

The PFI is a Further and Higher Education Institution licensed by MFHEA.
