Police have said that a 27-year old man from Xaghra was grievously injured in an accident that happened at around midnight in Triq ir-Rabat, Nadur.
The 27-year old and a 25-year-old man from Nadur, were passengers in a car being driven by a 33-year old man.
Police said that preliminary investigations show that the driver lost control of the vehicle which then overturned. The 25-year old passenger and the driver were unhurt in the accident.
The other passenger was taken to the Gozo General Hospital where he was later certified as suffering from grievous injuries.
Police investigations are ongoing.
