The Feast Feast of Generosity in aid of id-Dar tal-Providenza is underway and closes at midnight.

€500, 000 had been collected by around 7pm this evening.

This is  the 26th edition of the Feast of Generosity, which is organised primarily to raise funds so that id-Dar tal-Providenza can continue to provide and improve on the services it offers.

The record sum of €2,531,540 during last year’s 25th edition of the Feast of Generosity.

The telethon is being broadcast from the WE studios in Qormi where a number of guests are manning the phones and taking donations.

As in every year, Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna celebrated Mass which was broadcast live on PBS from the Home’s chapel. The Feast of Generosity will be aired on all local TV stations..

The public can already make a donation by using the various facilities outlined below.

Paypal or bank accounts that Dar tal-Providenza has with the main Banks: APS Bank, BOV, HSBC, Lombard Bank, BNF Bank. A donation can also be made by cheque and sent to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Lapsi Road, Siggiewi SGW2822.

Dar tal-Providenza offers residential services to persons with disability in an environment that respects their rights and dignity. They live in three residencies in the Siggiewi Home and in the community homes: `Zerniq’ in Siggiewi, `Akkwarell’ in Qawra, ‘Dar Pirotta’ in Birkirkara and ‘Shalom’ in Zurrieq.
