1,030 new Covid-19 cases have been found overnight and 249 recoveries, which now takes the number of active cases in Malta and Gozo up to 12,222.

There are 99 Covid patients currently requiring treatment in Mater Dei Hospital (which is the only one being reported) including 7 who are in ITU.

Authorities said there have been 477 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The number of booster doses administered up until yesterday is 224,190.
