Two men, aged 70 and 87, have passed away during the last 24 hours while Covid positive, authorities said.

There were 77 new Covid-19 cases found overnight and 157 recoveries, which now takes the number of active cases in Malta and Gozo down to 816.

There are 42 patients requiring treatment in Mater Dei Hospital including 4 who are in ITU(figures for Gozo General Hospital have not been updated).

There have been 596 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The number of booster doses administered up until yesterday is 340,340.
