Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri has announced that following several `lengthy discussions,” an “ambitious project” will be proposed in the centre of the island of Gozo – adjacent to the bus station in Victoria where the main parking area is currently located.

The Gozo Minister said that apart from “increasing considerably” the number of parking spaces available for vehicles, “this project will be giving the Gozitan people more open spaces for families and the public to enjoy.”

Further details were revealed during a news conference in Malta, during which Prime Minister Robert Abela and Minister Miriam Dalli spoke about “green space projects” for Malta and Gozo.

Minister Dalli, speaking about the one for Victoria, said that a family park is being proposed for next to the bus station. The project also includes a football pitch and underground car park. The area would connect with the Villa Rundle garden.

A multiple story car park would benefit a lot of people especially keeping Victoria alive! Build the pitch on the rooftop!

How about some parking for the historical part and the PjazzaTokk and the top part of Republic Street, which has been transformed as a ghost town.

The area already connects with Villa Rundle garden. There is also a football area there. Just wondering where people are going to park during all the construction they are talking about as that area is the only real parking space close to the centre and is usually full by 10am!
