During an interview on Saturday evening in Victoria, Gozo, Prime Minister Robert Abela said that under a new Labour government, businesses in Gozo would enjoy a 10% increase on any incentive that Maltese businesses receive.

Abela also promised that that under a new PL government the growth rate of Gozo would continue to surpass that of Malta.

Speaking on the environment, Abela said that this government “really shows it clearly believes in the environment of our country, particularly in Gozo.”

He mentioned the proposal that will see an area in the heart of the city of Victoria changed in to a green area open to Gozitan and Maltese families. As well as the newly opened Qortin rehabilitation project in Xaghra.

The Prime Minister spoke about “the massive investment” in Gozo to strengthen connectivity, including the fast ferry service, as well as the incentives to encourage people to buy property in Gozo’s urban conservation areas.

The candidates were presented for the 13th district – Gozo: Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri, Agriculture Minister Anton Refalo, Joe Etienne Abela, Abigail Camilleri, George Paul Camilleri, and Christian Zammit.
