With effect from today further anti-Covid-19 related restrictions are being relaxed or removed completely.

This includes restrictions removed on opening times for entertainment and other establishments, meaning that they can remain open according to their licencing hours.

No quarantine is needed for those who who are fully vaccinated and have been in direct contact with positive persons.

Quarantine for vaccinated people will be reduced to 7 days from 10, for those who are positive, followed by a negative test.

For those who are not vaccinated, quarantine will remain at 14 days.

Primary contacts who are not vaccinated, must quarantine for 5 days followed by a negative test.

Travellers from countries on the Dark Red list must spend 7 days in quarantine following a negative test.

Malta will recognise certificates with WHO-approved vaccines even if not approved by the EMA, as long as the certificate is recognised by the superintendent of public health and a negative PCR test is presented upon arrival.

With effect from next Monday, the 14th of March, masks will no longer be mandatory in public outside.
