The surge in the number of new Covid-19 cases continues with 465 found overnight and 127 recoveries.

An 81-year old woman has passed away during the last 24 hours while Covid-19 positive, authorities said.

This now takes the number of active cases in Malta and Gozo up to 3,590.

The number of patients requiring treatment in hospital has also risen to 77 in Mater Dei including 3 in ITU.

There have been 627 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

The number of booster doses administered up until yesterday is 349,561.
