FKNK representatives have spoken of their concerns regarding what they described as “the neocolonial behaviour and threats of CABS and BirdLife Malta activists,” during a meeting with Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri.

In a statement, FKNK said that the meeting, which took place at the Ministry, also included discussions in detail on “the outcome of the spring 2022 hunting season; the finch trapping research programme and trapping licenses; the progress of regularisation regarding taxidermy; administrative fines and penalties; and the various FKNK projects, among others.At the end of the meeting, FKNK said that its officials presented the Minister with a dove statuette made of a composition of Plaster of Paris and clay, which was sculpted and painted by the artist, Stephen Fenech, who is also a hunting member of FKNK.
