The number of daily new Covid-19 cases have shot up, with 488 registered in the last 24 hours and recorded on the Public Health Department open source database. There were also 5 deaths registered.

Positive cases in Malta and Gozo are now up to 3,295. No information is available for the number in hospital. There have been 735 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

There were 1,701 tests taken over the same period, making a positivity rate of 28.69%, the highest it has been so far. Tests carried out at home are not included in the figures.
