The wonderful sum of €36,190.90 was raised on Friday evening for Puttinu Cares during Sempre Vivo/Dejjem Haj, a concert in memory of young Gozitan soldier Geordie Muscat, who passed away a year ago.

A huge crowd gathered for the concert, which was organised by Il-Karus l-Ahmar in Xaghra Square.Jessica Rae – Geordie’s fiancée, worked together with others in organising this one of a kind event for Gozo to honour Geordie, as well as celebrating life together

A red deposit box was set up in the square, something that Geordie always had in his room, contributed to every day, and used the savings to help others.The event was free of charge to the public and the organisers expressed their sincere thanks to the Cultural Heritage Directorate, Ministry for Gozo and the Xaghra Local Council for their continuous support. Also, thank you to Arc Carmelo Refalo and Xaghra Parish.
