Norwegian cellist performs at Victoria Arts Festival

Norwegian cellist Sverre Barratt accompanied at the piano by his mother Cecilie, Professor of Pianoforte Studies at the Barratt-Due Institute of Music, during the concert he performed at the Victoria International Arts Festival. He played works by JS Bach, S Rachmaninov and D Shostakovich.
Sverre is the winner of the all-Norway National Competition for Musicians under 23. Part of the annual first prize is participation in the Victoria International Arts Festival.
This is the fifth time that Norway has sent very promising, up-and-coming musicians to perform in this Festival.
