The “Vote Cittadella 2022” campaign has been launched for the RegioStars Awards, by Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri together with the Parliamentary Secretary for European Funds Chris Bonett.

The Regiostars Awards is a prestigious competition, organised by the European Union, with the aim of showing the best projects carried out in several member countries and showing them as best practices examples.

Unlike in previous years, this year it chose 15 projects, one for each year that it has been organising this competition.

The Gozo Minister expressed his satisfaction that the Cittadella was nominated among the best projects ever made by the member countries – with the Rehabilitation and Restoration of Cittadella Gozo.

“Many local and foreign visitors visit this unique attraction throughout the year. I am also pleased to say that the Cittadella continues to win admiration and prestigious awards from several renowned organisations such as the Best Travellers Choice 2021 from TripAdvisor and now nominated for the Regiostars Awards,” said Minister Camilleri.

Parliamentary Secretary Chris Bonett said that it is an honour for the Maltese and Gozitan people that the Cittadella has been nominated to participate in the Regiostars Awards and appealed for everyone to cast their vote.

Back in 2018 the Cittadella was chosen for this competition and ranked third in the public vote with over 30,000 votes.

The public can vote for Cittadella by going to the site www.regiostarsawards.eu until the 15th of November.
