A special service and concert has been held in Gozo to mark the Liturgical Feast of Pope Saint John Paul II, which fell on the 22nd of October.
The Concert of Sacred Music was presented by the Ghasri Local Council, together with the Pope John Paul II Cultural Foundation in the Parish Church of Ghasri.
The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. within the Apostolic Nunciator for Malta, Mons Dennis Kuruppassery, celebrated a Mass accompanied by the village Chaplain and by Rev. Mikiel Mintoff
Following the service a recital was held with the participation of Tenor Michelangelo Muscat accompanied on the piano by Christine Gauci, as well as Cellist Noe Levente Lang accompanied on the piano by Kathryn Mizzi.
The Concert closed with the tenor interpreting ‘Pie Jesu,’ ‘Pieta’ Signore’ and ‘The Lord’s Prayer.’
