1. Mgr. Mario Grech, bishop of Gozo, ordained two new deacons in a moving ceremony at the Gozo Cathedral. These were Maximillian Grech from the Cathedral parish and Noel Debono from Saints Peter and Paul parish, Nadur.

2. Gozitan artist Carmel Theuma launched his second solo exhibition entitled "A Journey into the Past" – 16 pieces inspired by the prehistoric heritage which enrich and adorn our islands.

3. The project which is to lead to the restoration of a large extent of the Cittadella bastion walls has been taken in hand through the execution of its first phase – laser scanning technology is in fact currently being used to document the state of conservation of the bastion walls and the underlying unstable terrain on which the Cittadella rises.

The work is being carried out by the Italian Consorzio Ferrara Ricerche under the on-site direction of Arch. Guido Galvani. The 2D and 3D images resulting from this documentation exercise will then be used during the subsequent restoration phase. This project is being carried out through collaboration between the Ministry for Resources and Rural Affairs and the Ministry for Gozo.

4. Xaghra Scout Group welcomed delegations from Turkey and Portugal as part of its project E-S.C.OUT, funded by the Youth in Action programme of the European Union.
