Gharb Local Council has honoured Sunta Apap with the inauguration of a memorial on the second anniversary of her death.
The programme on Sunday included a Mass in the Parish Church of the Visitation of Our Lady, in Gharb and with the unveiling of the monument of Sunta Apap better known as ‘Sunta ta’ l-Gharb’ 1931 – 2021.
Sunta Apap passed away on the 31st of January 2021, she was great devotee of Our Lady of Ta’ Pinu and Frenc tal-Gharb.
Gharb Local Council said that she was “a woman who was a refuge for many with her simplicity and always available for those who wanted to visit and pray at Ta’ Frenc’s house.”
