The AFM Band Concert in aid of Dar tal-Providenza which was due to be held in Gozo on Sunday, the 5th of January, will now been taking place next Thursday, the 9th of February.
The concert, which has been organised by the JP2 Cultural Foundation in full collaboration with the Victoria Local Council, was postponed because of the National Mourning for the death of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI.
The AFM Band will be under the music direction of Captain Jonathan Borg AFM. The Gozo Cathedral will be hosting this concert.
The event, which starts at 7pm, is free of charge but a monitory collection will take place in aid of Dar tal-Providenza.
During this occasion the organisers are taking the opportunity to commemorate Pope Benedict XVI who visited Malta in April 2010 and was welcomed at the Malta International Airport by the AFM Band.
The commemoration will consist of the launching of the booklet commemorating the Pontiff by Rev Can Geoffrey Attard.
