The Public Health Response Team official open source database have today updated the number of Covid-19 cases for the last week.

Between the 27th of February and the 5th of March, 133 new cases have been recorded. There was 1 new death. The total number from the start of the pandemic is 828.

Active cases in Malta and Gozo now stands at 273. This brings the number of cases in the Maltese Islands since the start to 117,610.

There were 2,189 tests taken over the same period resulting in a positivity rate of 6.08%.

The Health Department said that tests carried out at home are not included in the figures.
