A new monument has been inaugurated by the Kercem Local Council, which depicts the history of the village of Kercem in Gozo.

This monument is situated on the belvedere at the entrance to the village, overlooking the Lunzjata Valley and was financed by the Ministry for Gozo.

The inauguration was carried out by Kercem Mayor Mario Azzopardi in the absence of the Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri, who could not attend due to commitments abroad.

The Council expressed “special thanks” to the Ministry for Gozo, and to Dun Roberto Gauci who designed and worked on the monument which, the Council said, “gives a special and particular character to our lovely village.”
