Nadur in Gozo is one of the venues for this year’s Malta International Fireworks Festival, opening on the 24th of April, and reaching its climax on the eve of the 1st of May in the Grand Harbour.

Apart from Nadur, the public will have the opportunity to see aerial and ground firework displays from Mellieha, St Paul’s Bay, Naxxar, Manoel Island, Floriana and the Grand Harbour.

Malta is also expected to host 700 foreign participants for this pyrotechnic festival, as well as 100 exhibitors for the International Symposium of Fireworks.

These details were announced in a news conference by the Minister for Tourism Clayton Bartolo in the presence of the Chairman of the Malta Tourism Authority Gavin Gulia.

Minister Clayton Bartolo stressed that there is a positive expectation for this international event. He went on to say that, “The reputation of our country in the pyrotechnic world is a strong and well-known one.”

Gavin Gulia said that, “we are certain that this international festival will attract a number of tourists and a local audience who will attend to enjoy this wonderful show around the Maltese and Gozitan islands.”
