The National Blood Transfusion Service has expressed its sincere thanks to the 62 people (an exceptional number!) who called to donate blood last Sunday at the Xewkija Clinic in Gozo.
Following on from this wonderful success, the Service continues to encourage more Gozitans to please come forward to donate blood for the aid and benefit of the many patients who are sick, some critical, and currently in the hospitals of Gozo and Malta.
Blood donations of all types are always needed.
The next session will be on Tuesday, the 4th of April, from 1pm until 5pm, at the Xewkija Clinic. This will be followed by another on Sunday, the 9th of April (Easter Sunday) from 8am until 1pm.
“Your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated as always,” the Service said.
The centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
Important notes from the National Blood Transfusion Service
The Service reminds everyone that it is very important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
As usual, please wear a mask when attending the clinic.
