The Gozo FC under-15 squad have done Gozo proud by being placed second in the Fifteenth Edition of the Venezia Jesolo Cup International Youth Football.

The four-day tournament took place at the Armando Picchi Stadium, Jesolo, Italy.

Over 75 teams, including male and female youth categories, from 4 nations: Germany, Gozo-Malta, Switzerland and Italy took part in the tournament in the name of sport and friendship.

Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri congratulated the squad on their achievement, adding that “this was a wonderful and very useful experience for these young Gozitans who did the honours for Gozo.”
