By the end of March, Central Government Debt totalled €9,166.4 million, this was €700.2 million higher than the corresponding month last year, the National Statistics Office said today.

The Government finance data also showed that for the same period the Government’s Consolidated Fund registered a deficit of €135.5 million.

Compared to the previous year, recurrent revenue and total expenditure increased by €285.2 million and €49.2 million, respectively, the NSO said.

A positive change of €236.1 million was reported in the Government’s Consolidated Fund.
