The next talk in the Saturday series by il-Hagar Museum in Gozo, will be presented by Prof Tonio Borg, Associate Professor of Public Law at the University of Malta.

The title of the talk is – The Constitution of Mata: Flaws and Shortcomings.

Il-Hagar said that “this former European Union Commissioner and Cabinet Minister has been lecturing in public law since 1989 and so is more than qualified to discuss Malta’s Constitution and its main shortcomings.”

Tonio Borg talk on the "shortcomings" of the Constitution at Il-HagarProf Borg explained that some were included from the beginning; others appeared through amendments along the years. For example those introduced in 2020, generally positive, contain anomalies that need correction.

The talk is taking place next Saturday, the 20th of May at 11am. Admission is, as always at Il-Hagar, free of charge, but seat reservations are recommended to events@heartofgozo.org.mt

The museum said that the major Esprit Barthet Exhibition at Il-Hagar is now nearing the end of its run and so this visit offers a good opportunity to again go through the some sixty works being exhibited.

Il-Hagar is located in St George’s Square, Victoria, Gozo.
