The National Blood Transfusion Service expressed its thanks to everyone who calls to donate blood at the Xewkija Clinic in Gozo.

Blood donations of all types are always needed, however, the Service said that there is still a great demand for blood, particularly Type O Positive and A Positive, which are required urgently

Therefore the Service continues to encourage more Gozitans to please come forward to donate blood for the aid and benefit of the many patients who are sick, some critical, and currently in the hospitals of Gozo and Malta.

The next session will be on Tuesday, the 30th of May, from 1pm until 5pm, at the Xewkija Clinic.

“Your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated as always,” the Service said.

The centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.

Important notes from the National Blood Transfusion Service

The Service reminds everyone that it is very important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.

As usual, please wear a mask when attending the clinic.
